New Designated Neighbourhood Officer

Good morning Baffins,

As many of you will know, I have recently taken over as your Designated Neighbourhood Officer following PC Jamie Christian's departure from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary. Jamie will be a real loss to both our team and the Baffins community, and I would like to wish him all the very best for the future.

For those who don't know me, I thought I would introduce myself. This year marks my 16th year with Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary. I spent 11 years as a PCSO on Neighbourhood Policing Teams across Portsmouth and the Meon Valley before becoming a Police Officer in 2022. Since then, I have spent a year on Response Policing before returning to Neighbourhood Policing. Altogether, I bring 14 years of neighbourhood policing experience to the role.

Over the coming weeks, I will be out and about in the community, getting to know local residents, community groups and businesses, as well as familiarising myself with any ongoing concerns. Jamie has already provided a thorough handover, and I am aware of a number of issues that require continued attention.

I am keen to hear from residents and learn what matters most to you. If you see me out and about, please do come and say hello.

I will also be leaving some contact cards in Beeny's Café as soon as they are delivered, so please feel free to pick one up when they arrive.
